Michelle has been with Milton Freewater Health & Rehab since February of 2015. She earned her Associates degree in nursing in 2007 from Walla Walla Community College. Previously Michelle worked with Regency where she worked as a charge nurse, Resident Care Manager, and for the past 3 years as the Director of Nursing. She enjoys working in long-term care because it is meaningful and each day brings a different challenge. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys the outdoors. She enjoys fishing and camping with her family and hunting every fall with her spouse.
Dr. Ashby came to Walla Walla Valley to attend Walla Walla University and later earned a medical doctorate from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. He did an internal medicine residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine as well as at Loma Linda University. Dr. Ashby has been a Lieutenant Commander, Medical Corp in the Navy and Chairman of the Medical Department at the Bangkok Adventist Hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Ashby is a Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners; Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine; a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and has been certified by the American Medical Directors Certification Program since 2002. He enjoys walking, gardening, and foods from all over the world.
